Biography
Roque Carbajo made his musical debut at the age of seven. He accompanies his parents, musicians by profession, and performs in various countries of Europe and the Middle East, interpreting Mexican and South American folklore.
At the age of 24, he moved to Paris and composed works for the guitar, music for films and songs that were recorded by French performers.
In 1972, he travels around Mexico as a guitarist and arranger with songwriter Guadalupe Trigo and his wife Viola Trigo.
It is with the ensemble “Viento del Sur” that he arrives in Canada in 1979. After a few tours, he perfected his musical knowledge at the Université du Québec à Montréal and Concordia University.
Today, Roque Carbajo continues to compose and manages his publishing house Carlam musique.
